"Three Peaks": A Resort that will bring 146 million euros to the Budget of Kyrgyzstan
The "Three Peaks" project is expected to begin around May 2025 this year. Zharkynbek Maksutov, director of the State Enterprise "Kyrgyz Courchevel," announced this in an interview with the "Kabar" agency. According to him, design and estimate documentation for infrastructure facilities is currently being developed. The construction of the first phase will be completed in December 2026, and the resort will be ready to welcome its first tourists. The project consists of three phases: Jyrgalan, Bozuchuk, and Ak-Bulak.
"This ski resort will create unique conditions and become the largest ski cluster in Central Asia. The total length of the ski trails will be **155 miles (250 km)**, with Jyrgalan alone having **75 miles (120 km)** of ski trails. Also, taking into account the Kyrgyz mentality, a mosque adorned with traditional Kyrgyz ornaments will be built," the project director said. The master plan was developed by European specialists, and the State Agency for Architecture, Construction, and Housing and Communal Services (Gosstroy) of the Kyrgyz Republic is currently developing the general plan. Also, this year, the Administration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic will begin the construction of three-star hotels, consisting of 8 blocks. The construction of four- and five-star hotels will be offered to investors.
"In the first phase in Jyrgalan, **49 hotels** will be built, combined into a single ethno-town with 3, 4, and 5-star categories. The tallest building will have **6 stories**," Maksutov noted.
We note that the resort will target both mid-range and high-end tourists, and everyone will be able to find a place to stay depending on their budget. The resort will also be ready to welcome **850 thousand tourists per year**. **4,600 jobs** will be created, which will have a positive impact on the economy of nearby villages and districts, as local farmers will be able to supply their goods to the resort area.
The total area on which the resort will be built is **9,573 acres (3,874 ha)**. In Jyrgalan, **143 acres (58 ha)** of the town will be built, in Ak-Bulak - **59.3 acres (24 ha)**, and in Bozuchuk - **98.1 acres (39.7 ha)**. For comparison, the length of the ski trails at the new **"Rosa Khutor"** ski resort in Russia is **65 miles (105 km)**, at the **"Erciyes"** ski resort in Turkey - **34 miles (55 km)**, at the **Shymbulak** resort in Kazakhstan - **12 miles (20 km)**, and at our Karakol resort - also **12 miles (20 km)**.
