Chinese investors who have built major hotels are showing interest in the “Ala-Too Resort” project.

Representatives of construction companies from the neighboring country, together with the Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration — Head of the Department for Preparing Decisions of the President and the Cabinet of Ministers Azamat Kadyraliev, and the Director of the state enterprise “Ala-Too Resort” Zharkynbek Maksutov, visited the site where the resort will be built.

The investors saw that, under the initiative of President Sadyr Japarov and with the support of the state, active construction works are underway: roads leading to what will become the largest resort in Central Asia are being built, and construction of the cable car and clean water infrastructure is progressing. After their visit, they expressed their intention to participate in the second stage of the land auction for plots where the future “Jyrgalan” town will be developed.

It should be noted that the first stage of the auction for land plots designated for the initial phase of the large resort zone “Ala-Too Resort”, being built in the Khan-Tengiri rural area of Ak-Suu district in Issyk-Kul region, was held in July. Fourteen lots were won by local investors. The second stage will be announced in the coming days, with an additional 35 lots to be put up for auction. These land plots are designated for the construction of 3-, 4-, and 5-star hotels, apartments and VIP cottages, an ethno-village, restaurants, cafés, and other commercial facilities. If a foreign citizen wins a lot, the land will be leased for 49 years.

If local investors win, the plots will be transferred into private ownership. The auction will be held openly and online. Local and foreign investors, representatives of construction companies, entrepreneurs in tourism and hospitality, participants of public procurement, and other legal entities and individuals may take part.
