The state enterprise Ala-Too Resort has signed a service agreement with the Austrian company SkiMIS.
The director of Ala-Too Resort, Zharkynbek Maksutov, and Matthias Schmid, the director of SkiMIS — who has over 20 years of experience in managing and operating leading ski resorts in the Alps, Scandinavia, New Zealand, and Eastern Europe — signed an agreement for the provision of consulting services for the ski resort project.
SkiMIS, which provides tailored consulting services for the development of modern winter tourist destinations and their efficient operation, will oversee all necessary construction work for the largest resort in Central Asia over the course of a year: ski slopes, lifts, snowmaking systems, snow removal, avalanche safety monitoring, as well as the ski school and access-control systems. In addition, the company will assist in jointly planning and optimizing the architectural, technical, and operational aspects of the resort.
Drawing on its international experience, SkiMIS will help Ala-Too Resort become a professional-grade tourist destination. As part of the Ala-Too Resort ski project, supported by the state and President Sadyr Japarov, SkiMIS provides extensive expertise in conceptual design, operational planning, and the implementation of solutions in a practical, independent, and results-oriented manner.
The company acts not only as a traditional consultant but also offers comprehensive support in building the resort according to international standards, ensuring the effective functioning of processes, systems, and structures in day-to-day operations. This creates the foundation for a sustainable, economically successful, and fully operational ski resort that incorporates advanced international practices.
